Subject: Free Agent Pool drying up?

Is it just me, or are the pickin's in the free agent pool pretty thin. When I took over the reigns of the Freeze a couple of seasons ago, I found some gems among the FA's and some of those players are starting for the Freeze this season. But right now it looks to me that if some teams were to get bitten with some serious injuries in certain positions they would be dire straits with only very bad talent to fill those roles.
Or was there talent out there that got picked up an I wasn't paying close enough attention this season. Another oddity to me is the age range. The majority of FA's are either 8+ years (and on the downslide) or Rooks (undraftable at that). I thought that perhaps that some of the FA's from previous seasons would carry over across the seasons. Maybe thats too much paperwork to keep up with. And maybe its not necessary, but I just thought I would see if anyone else wanted to comment on the FA pool
