Subject: Louisiana On a Tight Rope

Dateline Baton Rouge… The Louisiana Bayou Beast enlisted QB Johnny Johnson in the hope that his experience and expertise in throwing the accurate deep ball would complement the awesome running attack developing this season. Results are inconclusive. Granted, Louisiana no longer has a premier corp of WRs… but they are capable. “Obviously, we are not looking for our pass attack to lead us to Ws” mused GM Hanlon. “What we do expect is that our QB will hit our people deep. So far, that is not the case. We will examine our options after this week. Matt D’Orazio is chomping on the bit, as he has for 2 seasons now. Johnny Johnson has never come up big in the past. But this season we saw things in him we never saw before. We feel his time is now. He is a veteran used to pressure situations, especially in our conference. We feel he will lead us to our goal: FIFL champions for 2005. Anything less is unacceptable.” Ironically, Louisiana leads the league in passing offense. “…yada, yada, yada” spat Johnson. “I get that crap everywhere I go. I like this O line, these WRs, and this team overall. I’m too long for this league NOT to execute plays for a ring. The SHORT time I’ve been here have re-enforced that feeling. This football club is dedicated to winning. To quote Jimmy, see y’all on the field.”
