Dear Editor of Baton Rouge Advocate,

I'm a huge fan of the Mobile Seagulls, and in looking through the descriptions of next weeks' games I noticed a glaring omission. The Fort Wayne-Mobile game was not listed in the otherwise very fine article about next weeks' game. When the article listed many snooze games like Dayton versus Green Bay, I find it hard to believe that an exciting matchup of two playoff contending teams was not mentioned. This just goes to show how much anti-Seagull opinion is reported in the Baton Rouge Advocate. I understnad that the Seagulls are a hated division rival, but come on Texas vs. Lincoln was listed. With that in mind here is a short synopsis of the Fort Wayne-Mobile game next week:

Mobile is the favorite, almost exclusively by virtue of being the home team(2-0 at home so far). Fort Wayne has a weak offense, and a decent defense. The defense is oppurtunistic with 4 INTs in 6 games. The defense though is weak against the run, and with Marquette Smith returning the starting lineup look for a big game out the Seagull rushing attack. Gulls clear the 3 point spread.

Steve McPhereson
No. 1 Gulls fan in Baton Rouge!
