Subject: 1st of a Series? Can't figue out where to place this in the FORUM?

Fargo (1-0) at Honolulu (0-1)

GM John Murphy inherited a middle-of-the-road team in 2003: never really accomplished much, not an over abundance of talent. Playing in the Great Plain Division, the Freeze were naturally low in the pecking order topped by perennial powerhouse Black Hills Machine. His tutelage forged a breakout 8-6 2004 season. But this team fell back to a mediocre 6-8 last season. Fargo started this season the way a team destined for the play offs should: a 24-17 conquest of division rival Black Hills. Murphy likes QB Kurt Warner. His numbers are similar to other successful QBs in the FIFL. HB Clinton Childs powers the running game. WRs Alfonzo Browning et al feature out-a-control SP and HA. The O line is built to prevent sacks. The kicking game shouldn’t lose any games. The DL is above average, with a flaw: DT Jason Washington would block kicks from the DT2 position? (This GM does not know the ’97 game!) LBs stack up with the upper 3rd in the league. DBs are good, but lack that je ne sais qua come crunch time. Why GM Kevin Fillman (Checked out his web page?) is associated with this league is in intriguing mystery. It’s even more intriguing when every one knows the daunting travel difficulties this team endures. Regardless, y’all need to understand that this is a league of winners. There are no better players to compete against out there. Lose here, it’s no disgrace. Win here, feel good about your bad self: you done good. The Hurricanes tack to port RE QBs. This veteran GM realizes that QBs are a bit part of a great team… a refreshing attitude in this ‘gotta have the greatest QB to win’ league. Fillman is building a formidable team for the future. Hidden behind the fading venerable Quentin Cradle (HB) and James Mormino (FB) is talent soon to make a splash. WR Eddie Brown was a crown jewel of a pick up. The O line will feature SP and EN… again, vets mask the future. Ks are adequate. D line is adequate, but suspect? LBs OK, looking for the younger players to develop. If a game ever needs to be saved by the secondary (LOL in the FIFL) this unit is 1st rate. Make the call? HON wins by a FG. HON 24 FGO 21.
