Subject: Just dropping by...

Everyone on the boards I visit is complaining that the boards are dead right now. Well, I'm sure my little entry won't get everyone excited, but if we all feel that way then nothing gets posted -- right?

Beautiful and sunny today here on the coast of Washington, rhodies are all in bloom, and enough of a breeze that it won't get hot. In fact, it hardly ever gets hot here due to the ocean breeze and the mediating effect of all that water.

Hubby and I are still spending three days per week in Portland in an effort to clean out my brothers house to hopefully sell it by this fall. With even a small estate, there are so many rules and paperwork to do that it makes it difficult. It is especially hard to do this while still in a state of shock over his passing on at such an early age (58) of complicatons of diabetes. Other people go through amputations and manage to live for many years -- either in a wheelchair or with a prosthesis. But his health was so poor (on dialysis and also had heart problems) and his nutritional level was so depleted that he only survived two months after the surgery.
