There is information there that I did not know. Reading it made me feel very solemn and respectful of all those who fought and died and the process by which they were honored. My father's has European and native American ancestors. His European ancestors have been here since 1601. They fought and sometimes died in every war this nation has fought. My dad was in WWII. My mother's brother in Korea. Her uncle was shot down and held by the German's as a prisoner of war in WWII. All three of my bother's served during the Viet Nam war, 2 in war zones, one saw a lot of combat and contracted hepititis C from a blood transfusion.

Great sacrifices have been made by our service people and most went unheralded on any individual level.
