Subject: Lawyer problems
In reply to: zazoo 's message, "Hmmmmm Hi Cari. Are we having lawyer trouble these days?" on 09:19:53 05/14/02 Tue

Three months ago I arranged to transfer some real estate away from one of my corporations to protect it from being caught up in a court battle. The lawyer's assistant took the deeds and promised me she would record them before a deadline that had to be met for any asset transfers prior to the onset of a particular legal battle. However, she set them on her desk, let them get buried with other papers and forgot them.

I now have a buyer for a piece of the property, but because of her mistake it may be tied up in legal wrangling and I'll lose $15,000 that I desparately needed. So, she says she's soooooo sorrrrrrrry, the lawyer (her boss) passes it off casually as if it's nothing and says to me, "you just can't catch a break lately can you?"

In the meantime I don't have the money to have the kid's teeth let alone my own worked on or my daughter's computer fixed and my sale of property may go down the tubes. But you know how it is - I just can't catch a *^(%^%$^$&%&^$%#^$ break!!!
