Arietta giggled, then sighed. "Mom, I didn't do a good job. I did a piss poor job. Kodoku did way more, and she got a really harsh punishment!"
Michiru sighed. "Haruka is just much tougher than I am. I suppose I shall never interfere with the way she raises her daughter, but I won't be severe on you. It's very hard to come back into a fight after using a power which drains you, and believe it or not, you did a good job."
"It shouldn't drain me, mom, I'm way too old--"
"Quiet," Michiru commanded, then looked out the window. "Listen to the sea. Listen to its wisdom. It isn't the prowess you posess in the battle, rather how much heart you put into it, and I know you wouldn't have given up."
Arietta wondered if she would have. She wanted to.
"I sure hope you're right mom," Arietta pouted. "Besides, Haruka couldn't bitch me out too much even if I was Kodoku, I'm only two years from legal drinking age. . ." ((OOC: that is, if it were 21 in Japan. I'm not sure when it is)).
Michiru turned falsely stern. "Now don't try and make yourself seem right. Drinking and being underage is never okay. Got it?"
Arietta sighed. "Yeah. I won't do it again. Though Kodoku has definitly got skill as a bartender. I usually think alcohol is pretty rank, but man, she can really--"
"Arietta," Michiru interupted.
"Yes?" Arietta looked up at her, bright eyed.
"I don't wanna hear anymore," Michiru commanded.
