This reminded me of a situation going on in my major. I go to a community college, and I'm in a two-year Animal Management program. There's a class at the local zoo where you're out working on premeses doing keeper-type work *coughslavelaborcough*. This semester, the first and second-year students are all together. There's this chick named Angela who is an LQ-type 'Never the problem, always the victim' person. We went to Toronto a few weeks ago, and she did and said some things that pissed people off, including a girl named Stacey, who was (until then) her friend, but Angela had been riding her last nerve for a while. Angela said something incredibly, incredibly cold and hurtful to two second-years, who happen to be friends with Stacey, that were a reference to Stacey without actually mentioning a name (but they all knew who Angela was talking about), and then goes over to Stacey and acts all friendly-like. So the two girls tell Stacey what her 'friend' is saying (that Stacey is a dyke who, if Angela shared a bed with her in the hotel, would most likely molest her). This was the last straw for Stacey, who camped out on a cot in the room I was in. Fast forward about a week. A second-year who's my friend comes to me and tells me that Angela is saying I'm turing people against her (Angela), and I'm the reason Stacey won't talk to her anymore. Huh. So I take it up with Angela. Angela says she did not say I was turning people against her, I was instigating people against her (um...same difference?). And things were fine with Stacey until I rode in the van that she and Stacey were in for the trip to Toronto. *snorts* Yeah, like I can influence Stacey, who's very strong-minded, in an hour and an half against Angela, who she's known for almost a year. Yeah, right. So I mention that Stacey's upset because of what was said at the hotel, and Angela says, "That's between me and Stacey, so stay out of it." *bangs head on wall* No one takes Angela seriously, so whatever she was saying against me will have the sticking power of grease on Teflon, but it just irks me. Can't you take responsibility for your own actions? AUGH! I can't *wait* to hear who she blames for the fact that when she was told to change the straw bedding in a cougar's den, she just put clean on top of dirty. As if that's not just nasty and disgusting, it was later found out the cougar had blood in her urine, and if the straw had been changed like it was supposed to have been, the blood would have been found *days* earlier.
