Subject: Oh, this pisses me off!

LQ blames her behavior on ADD. Bloody barmy git! I have ADHD, so to say that pisses me off is like saying Saddam Hussein is mean and lies sometimes. It's NOT a 'Get out of jail free' card, where you say "I have ADD" and you're suddenly free from having to take responsibility and face no concequences. Oh, Lord, I wish that were true! Especially when I forget to turn in my homework on time or piss away hours a night I could be doing homework because I can't get on track long enough to get something done (it'll just take a minute to do ...then it's an hour later). And it's *not* an excuse for lack of self-control or otherwise not making an effort to bring your weak areas under some kind of control. What I have seen thus far in her postings shows a serious lack of impulse control and a refusal to just say "I'm sorry". The lack of impulse control, yeah, that could be ADD. But the degree of the lack indicates two things: 1) if she's on meds to help her control the problems, the dose isn't high enough, and/or 2) she's just not making a concerted effort to exercize any control. I have anger control problems, but I rarely go off like she does for as long as she does. And then there's the fact she avoids taking responsibility for her actions for as long as possible, and still tries to shift a good degree of the blame to other sources. *spits again* Git! The "I have ADD, don't blame me" shit may work with those who are too ignorant of it to see what you're really doing, but I'm not one of those people.
