Perhaps what you should say instead of "I hate people like that and can't tolerate them" is, "I don't mind people like that unless they behave that way in my presence?"

That's the tough thing about principles and things like that. You can have them, but talking about them broadly is tricky. "I can't tolerate that mindset" turns into "I can tolerate it from certain people if..." kinda thing.

Just wanted to clear that up. ^_^
