Subject: GAH!!! I'M OUT FOR THE HEAD OF THE HEWLETT-PACKARD COMPANY! (read only if you wanna hear a long rant about how crappy their products are...)

GAH!!!
I'm so pissed off at hewlett-packard, and I need to rant!
it all started about January 3rd. Our Printer just went Caput. No power was flowing into the actual circutry. We took it to our Computer shop, and Mike (The guy who got me Photoshop and my wacom, and is therefore the nicest guy in the world, Tried to fix it. However, with hewlett-packard hardware, you cannot open the back to fix anything, unless you want to void the warrenty. So Mike told us to phone Hewlett-Packard so they would fix it. So we did, and after an hour of waiting, we finally got to talk to someone. We told them the problem, and they (Very Rudely I might add) Told us to send it to them, and they would send us a new one. Before that, they said (Again, in a very rude way) To take the Ink Cartrages out of the thing before we sent it. Another thing about Hewlett-Packard printers, is that you cannot get the cartrages out without power going into the printer (Which ours wasn't doing). So we Phoned them again, And waited for another hour to get the same rude little man we had before. He told us to apply pressure to a Little button at the top of the cartrages and they should pop off. But that little button is made of hopelessly thin plastic, and if we pressed any harder, it would snap. So we asked in our politest voice (which was getting really hard) If, say it DID brake, would our warrenty be up? Well, another hour later while the man consulted his supervisor, we were told no, and that they couldn't send us new ink cartrages because it's against polocy. Afetr YET ANOTHER HOUR of arguing about it, we were told they would try to send one, and when it arrived five days later, there would be a notice on our door. They Promptly took our street address and rudely hung up on us. Well Five days came and went, and still no printer. So We phoned good ol' H-P again to find out were it was. Now, H-P is a Company Based in Vancouver, yet when we phoned, we were told to phone back tomorrow before Three o'clock Eastern Time. So we phoned at some godawful point in the morning, was on hold for ANOTHER HOUR and was told it should be on it's way. Now on the 13 we got a call from Prince George, saying that our Printer was availlable for pickup at the next convinient time. That's all well and good, Except Prince George is FOUR AND A HALF HOURS from my tiny home in Hicktown! So we phoned, and asked why it had been sent there, and they said, that was were H-P said to send it. Well, they said that they would send it out there, and a message and apology from H-P would be posted on our door. Well today we phoned the People out in George, who said it should be there, at the small postoffice in my town. So, We went out there, only to find it had been marked "Hold For Pickup", and there was no apology. When We got home, there was, indeed, no ink cartrage.
I'm sorry if I've bored you too death with this rant, but I just needed to Get it out of my system, and Warn others about the process...
I've never been so crankey in my life....
