I am writing this to warn any unsuspecting people not to be taken in by this medium. I met Lesley at a service she was doing in Liverpool 3 years ago when after giving a message from the rostrum she approached me offering me her friendship as "spirit" had told her that I "needed a friend". Within 3 months, after telling me repeatedly of her financial problems I had parted with £500 to help pay her rent, with the promise that it would be paid back, in full, within a couple of months. 3 years later and numerous phone calls, e-mails and even a house visit later, still nothing has transpired in the way of me getting my funds back. During this time, amongst other things, I have made Lesley aware of the fact that my daughter was diagnosed with cancer and so I needed the money to help her, to no avail and that as a result of my not getting my money back, I was unable to pay the bill at where I had my property stored and subsequently lost all of my belongings and some of those belonging to my children, also to no avail.
While I was trying to keep my life on an even keel, Lesley was informing me that she was off to Spain for a couple of weeks with her mother, that she was buying a car, that she was earning in excess of £500 in commission from Avon, that she was working as a chat line psychic, that she was being paid for doing proof reading for a publishing company and that she had made a contact with someone else in a church, who had lost their son and they were so impressed that they were going to arrange a clairvoyant evening with her where she could expect to get £1000 on the door! These were all given to me as reasons why I would be getting my money "soon" - the car was being used to help widen her distribution of Avon.
She has had bank details forwarded to her and even the threat of legal action but seems impervious to everything. When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer, her mother was diagnosed with cancer, when I lost my home and belongings she lost her home and belongings too - can anyone see a pattern here? Is this cosmic coincidence or just cosmic convenience? The last time I heard from her was the begining of March 2009 when she was still trying to convince me that the money was on its way, needless to say this was just more pie in the sky.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I am angry that I allowed myself to be taken in but especially by someone who claimed to befriending me through spirit. Spiritualism has a hard time being taken seriously as it is, without people like her preying on the vulnerable in the congregation of the churches they serve, for their own ends. Lesley is still serving churches and I shudder to think how many more Tracys she has accumulated on her path.
