It should have been evangelising about the sensitives gift to communitcate and the evidence that they had. But that was over a hundred years ago since then we have had vast slew of electronic inventions which may interfere with the genuine mediumship. That aside you quite right when you talk about the so-called virtues that seem to be in short supply, there is a lot of greasy pole climbing and power mongering amongst memebers I ,too have seen that obnoxious display. I encountered the same thing you talk about and was disappointed and saddened at the actions of people I had admired but actually did not find out after the passing of these people so am still nonplussed by this. we need to follow our own path and try to point out errors when you see them. I will no longer take garbage from so-called mediums because it has come to such a state now that the stuff coming out of demonstrators (won,t call them mediums) mouths is beyond obnoxious and puerile. Some of the "evidence" is just crude exhibitionibm "i will give what I get and B*gger the consequences.
