okay like damn, what do you do for a living? i feel like a real ignoramus trying to come up with a response here :) anyways, i think that if the human mind could know everything, that it would cause the mind that did to become "translated" or, no longer of this earth. mastery to me of this continuum would seem to require a permanent removal from it seeing as there would no longer be any challenges meet to the newly aquired ability. perhaps the 'gods' of mythology were translated beings who were still tied to their human origins. not quite ready to evolve beyond their new level of existence, maybe a continued relationship with their lesser evolved brethren could allow them 'retrace their steps' so to speak, to remember, or to become newly inspired to shed their vestigial remains of humanity and accept an existence that those of the five senses may consider to be oblivion.
