Well, it all depends on what you like, really.

First and foremost. Soul Calibur. Even if you don't like fighting games, even if you think they're boring and repetative, GET IT! It rocks, and I can't stand fighting games.

Skies of Arcadia is also good, although the encounter rate is really high up there. (remember what I said about boring and repetative?) Still, the graphics and characters alone make it worthwhile. That and the ship to ship battles which are definetely neat!

Those are my recommendations. Also, Berserk is good for all the blood and violence, but it most CERTAINLY is not Devil May Cry.

(Sidestep: hold down r1, hit the triangle and you'll roll out of the way. Otherwise, just hold down R1 and move. Don't need a sidestep key!)

Avoid Grandia II, unless you like craptacular voice acting and irritating main characters that make you want to pull out their tongues and beat them to death with it.

Seriously, the main character's like Squall with a porcupine up his butt.

And if you decide that you want/need to cheat on the DMC, let me know and I'll send you a cheating disc gratis. I have one left over from when I owned a DC.
