Subject: For Those Confused as hell with the Shawn Michaels thing...

WWE.com published a new interview with Shawn Michaels this afternoon regarding his return to WWE TV and changes in his life.

-He said he was called on Sunday about appearing on Raw on Monday.

-He said they are going to have to bring him back to the ring before he'll get in tip-top shape again. He said he had stayed in a great shape for a while but didn't get called up to wrestle, so now he eats cookies with his two-and-a-half year old son every weekend.

-He said he looks so healthy because he has "accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and it has completely changed my life." He said he let Kevin Nash know he isn't going to be the same person he used to be, he won't go out and do "this or that" or us profanity. He said the use of profanity and vulgarity, which he was a big part of popularizing five years ago, has "run its course."

-He said he misses Scott Hall prays for him. He said he'd like to make a trip to Florida to see him if he'd welcome him.

-He said he is on a different path now than that as of an in-ring active wrestler. He said it's not something he's thinking about, but if it happens, he believes God will protect him.

-He thanked Jim Ross for throwing his name out there anytime people were brainstorming about ideas for WWE storylines.

-He said he has always introduced himself as Shawn Hickenbottom outside of wrestling because that's his name (Michael Shawn Hickenbottom). He says only his mom calls him Michael.

-He said the Confidential interview was filmed a couple of months ago when the WWE production crew was in town to film Lita's surgery.

-He said his "HBK is dead" comment had more to do with his backstage persona than on-air character. He said he used to have a chip on his shoulder and had something to prove, but now he doesn't.

-He said when the NWO was reformed, Vince asked him to be part of it, but he was already on his path toward changing his life and didn't want to risk derailing it.

-He said he will spread the word of the Bible, but he won't "hit people over the head" with it.


So let me get this strait. He is no longer the pompus jackass he used to be, but now is a devout Christian. While by all accounts he's become a better person, how long do you think it's going to be before he starts negating story ideas left and right, but then again...with the storylines on RAW nowadays, maybe a little restraint won't be so bad. Maybe if they portray him as a JJ Dillon/Paul Ellering "All business" type manager (becasue basically thats all he equates to) then they may have something. Becasue no one is going to beleive the party animal act anymore.
