Subject: Bringing him back is yet another quick fix.
In reply to: Soul Tsukino 's message, "For Those Confused as hell with the Shawn Michaels thing..." on 14:54:23 06/06/02 Thu

Dagnabbit, this'll only bring in short-term interest, maybe a little more if he actually rassles, but it can't change the horrible storylines. I'm losing faith in the WWE fast. Gads, it's painful to say WWE.

>-He said they are going to have to bring him back to
>the ring before he'll get in tip-top shape again. He
>said he had stayed in a great shape for a while but
>didn't get called up to wrestle, so now he eats
>cookies with his two-and-a-half year old son every
>weekend.

They could have his son come in a fued with Flair, since Flairs younger son fueded with Vince Russo in yet another of WCW's most shiningest momements ever. It could be a "Cookie on a Pole" match. Yay!

>-He said he looks so healthy because he has "accepted
>Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and it has
>completely changed my life." He said he let Kevin Nash
>know he isn't going to be the same person he used to
>be, he won't go out and do "this or that" or us
>profanity. He said the use of profanity and vulgarity,
>which he was a big part of popularizing five years
>ago, has "run its course."

Maybe Rev. Devon has a new partner.

>-He said he misses Scott Hall prays for him. He said
>he'd like to make a trip to Florida to see him if he'd
>welcome him.

Oooh, an exorcism!

>-He said he is on a different path now than that as of
>an in-ring active wrestler. He said it's not something
>he's thinking about, but if it happens, he believes
>God will protect him.

>-He said he has always introduced himself as Shawn

Heehee.... Hickenbottom.

Cripes, he's starting to sound like Pat Robertson. Except Pat WILL beat you over the head with his bible. For your own good, of course.

>So let me get this strait. He is no longer the pompus
>jackass he used to be, but now is a devout Christian.
>While by all accounts he's become a better person, how

>business" type manager (becasue basically thats all he
>equates to) then they may have something. Becasue no
>one is going to beleive the party animal act anymore.

Like I said, if he doesn't actually wrestle, I think interest will be minimal at best. The age of managers are over, unless you've got no apparent mic skills (a la Lesner).

>Soul Tsukino
>(Hey, I wonder if he's selling his ring gear. Everyone
>needs a pair of mirror laiden chaps!)

Gadzooks, I always thought his gimmick was gay. Boy toy? Ugh.
