Subject: Need virus help! (Basically a cut and paste form the Buzz)

if you have seen this msg at the Buzz, just disregard this. Sorry for any inconviniences.

today as i have updated my virus definition for my Norton Anti Virus, i decided to scan my computer for viruses. Lo and behold, there's this virus called hpbak.vir and mssg.exe (or hpbak.exe and mssg.vir can't remember).

The two virus files i have deleted them. Even the infected files i have quarantined and deleted them. But the strange thing now is that the antivirus program still detects a file that is infected. And when i click on repair and it says it couldn't be repair, so i need to quarantine it. So, i click on quarantine and it looks for the file. The file's gone, which is the hpbak file and the comp says it can't find the file. What can i do now from here? I'm scanning my comp as i type.

And for those i've exchange emails these past few days... i think this virus thingy just attacked my comp at least just 2 days ago. Most probably just yesterday as i was trying to open a file that my gf send to me from her work place, which is a college. So, i suggest you scan your comp for the virus just to be safe. But i think there shouldn't be any since i did not send an attachments.

thanx in advance and sorry for any inconveniences. I have a job interview tomorrow and this happens at this hour.. midnite. Now how am i going to get a good night's sleep...
