I'm not saying nostalgia does work; I buy lots of stuff coz of nostalgia...TF re-releases, Gatchaman, I'm eyeing that new Ac Guy MSIA 2 pack coz I seem to remember liking those two designs when I was a kid...BUT! Nostalgia doesn't neccessarily mean the desire to "feel like a kid" again, and that's what I don't like. It cheapens and immatures the hobby. I mean, toy collectors buy toys from their childhood, but if they really wanted to "fell likea kid" they'd be playing hopscotch and doing other stupid things that kids do. That's not happening. They're at most reliving an experience that happened when they were kids : TV and Toys, but that does not neccessarily make it a childish obsession. Like I say, just because you drank milk as a kid and still do it now doesn't mean it's childish or child-like.

PLus, look at the majority of collectors these days. They buy new stuff, and a lot of it. There's not much of a case to say that it's a return to childhood.
