Not online. if it's one thing i've seen countless times, it's how net surfers are a lazy, uninitiated lot. If it's free and all, they'll flock to ya. Once they need to start paying, only a handful will bother, the rest will just move on and look for something else to fill their time with. How many websites have gone down the drain coz they started payment schemes. (On that note, Goodbye Geocities! Been fun using ya).

I'll start a revamped website once my stupid project is over, but I'll probably use that as a sort of online resume rather than a fanbase builder.

Or, first impressions do count. If it isn't good, I as a reader/viewer will not bother checking it out again, even if it gets good in the end. Probably why I never bothered with Maison Ikkoku. Rumiko takahashi SUCKED in those days. gave up after 1 book.

It's one thing to post pics and stuff and say "help me improve" and another to say "Check out my work!". That Rob Lowe guy's the latter. I don't think he's that great, and i don't bother with his posts much nowadays. He doesn't really offer anything yet that makes me go "wow, cool", so why bother? the impression sticks, even if he'll improve into another Tung Nyugen or whatever.

You must complete your training! Mmmm, yesss!

Just my 2 cents.

It's a good attitude, being self-critical. If more people working at my local TV station had it we wouldn't be bombarded by so much lousy Z-grade crap, for one thing. Those gits don't have an ounce of artistic appreciation in them. Most of them probably don't even understand the mechanics of film technique.

LOL, true!!
