Subject: One thing about the sub...

I can't help but think that if Nelvana didn't go for the sub release then someone else probably would (Probably still Pioneer). The series is popular enough (and dub isn't all that popular, but it's all there is) that the fans would have probably clamored for a sub version anyway. But like I just said, I think the only reason that the CCS dub is popular over here is because it's the only version there is in NA on TV. If this was on Cartoon Network and they showed the edited version during the day and an unedited version at night, what do you think people (even kids) would be saying was so great about the dub then? It really isn't all that great of a dub, it's been mindlesly hacked way too much from it's original form to excuse Nelvana for what they did, and the sub isn't available to everyone since it's a costly alternative ($25 for a VHS and $30 for a DVD!!!), plus the Manga was done by TokyoPop (in the US anyway) so that's sort of a non-issue.
