I do wonder what would happen if Teletoon aired the subbed version sometime. But still, 25 bucks [36 canadian] isn't really all that bad for 4 episodes of subbed anime.
And keeping up a cheaper VHS release is swell, also.


Apparently CN has picked it up for toonami next fall/late summer. I doubt the subbed version would ever be shown on TV, but it's still mentioned on Nelvana's website [supposedly there's a canadian distributor, but I think they just send out Pioneer's tapes].

Ah well, I'm not gonna rant :)


But in G-O-O-D Anime news, Spirited Away is being fought out for american distribution rights by DreamWorks and Disney. I'm always up for more Miyazaki.

And Angelic Layer [which I love very much so] might be getting licensed by Tokyo Pop. I love that theme song. If they ever do an English version of it, I declare Anne Murray must sing it :) It's one of the very few anime songs that sounds awesome in Japanese, and who's translation doesn't sound dorky when sung outloud. Either way I'm hoping and prayingfor a VHS release...
