Just returned from Wayne Pygram's place were we listened to our bands first demo CD!!!!! Very exciting for us. We've also decided on our permanent name. Our band is called "Number 96" (A tongue in cheek name for Australians. Number 96 was a tacky but very popular soap from the early 70's) Our demo is called "Demo number 1" and has 6 songs. The songs are called - Brand Spankin' Naked Sinner Ghosts First and Last The Lesson Went Away All originals of course. All recorded in two days. I'll have signed copies of the cd at Springfield and Boston. So I need your help! Firstly I need people to help get the word out that they can buy the signed copies. More importantly I need scapers to know that this is a self funded demo - no rich record companies here. This is why we really want to encourage people to buy it rather than copy it for friends. It all came out of our savings and we need to make back costs and hopefully self fund an album. SO PLEASE DON'T COPY AND DISTRIBUTE THIS DEMO. Buy it for your friends instead. As we don't do covers anyone planning on seeing us play live at Burbank will be better of having the demo. Then you'll know 6 of the songs from our set, which will enhance enjoyment. But of course the main reason you and every person you know should buy it is because it rocks and is fun! Blackjack finished last week. Everyone is talking about Gigi's scenes with Colin Friels.
