I could definitely see Tyree seeing time at the 3. However, given the complexities of the Bison defense and offense, I think the betting odds would favor Brown being the starter, especially at the start of the season. It is possible Zach Evans may also factor into the decision (and maybe John Clark,if he makes a recovery from the foot problems).

Based on the write-ups and the stats, I think both Tyree and Evans at this point are not great outside shooters but both seem to be very athletic players who can play D and rebound.

>>>Last comment about next year, I don't see why we would not be the prohibitive League Favorites again.<<<

The Bison could still be favorites but I think "prohibitive" is way too strong. HC will be good, losing only Hamilton and Hyland and probably regaining Doherty. Thomas and Simmons could both be all-league next year. The key for them will likely be the kind of job Clifford does in the middle. American will return everyone, along with a freshman or two who will probably help. Lehigh will only lose Juco Joe (who has only played in one game thus far) and an OK center. They will also have a frosh or two who will help, so their key might also be if anyone can do the job in the middle. Colgate and Navy should also be stronger. In sum, a much more balanced league.

For the Bison, the obvious issue will be who replaces Lee. None of the candidates will provide the offense that he does now, since none are good outside shooters, and don't forget Lee has been the leading Bison rebounder over the past 1.5 years as well as playing tough D. Although Tyree is a great athlete, I don't see him walking in and instantly replacing Charles Lee. The Bison, as things stand right now will be easier to guard since Mastropaolo has no outside shot and the likely replacements (Brown, Evans, Tyree) also do not have Lee's outside shot.

For now, though, I'm happy to just watch this year's team.
