>>>My opinion? Bucknell University needs to start recognizing this board, encouraging fans to get online.<<<

Agree. But how does anyone from Bucknell (students and alums) even find out that this board exists and also find out that HoopTime exists. Is there a way to get the word out? Bucknell World? Bucknellian? Flyers at game? ??

>>>What does bother me though is that Holy Cross fans don't give us the props and support we gave them. Bucknell's accomplishments in the last 24 months (this includes scholarships, the nicest arena in the League, all of the big time wins, the tourney win) easily surpasses what Holy Cross achieved when they were dominant.<<<

Generally disagree. Many on their board have given the Bison many props and support. I could quote dozens of posts in this regard. Also, while last year surpassed anything HC has done in the PL, only the win over Kansas put us over the top. And while this year could be even a better year it's only half over. Remember that HC won the regular season last year and could have easily beaten us in the tournament (which means Kansas would have never happened). Also remember that HC beat Notre Dame in the NIT, and remember that HC came within one or two missed shots of pulling a Kansas-type upset in a couple of NCAA's before we finally broke through. In 2001, they lost to #2 Kentucky by 4, in 2002 they gave #1 Kansas a good game, and in 2003 they lost to #3 Marquette by 4. They didn't beat Pitt or Syracuse, but they did beat Boston College.

Are some a bit envious of our success? Sure - just as I was a few years ago of their success. But in general I have seen many occasions where the Bison have been given plenty of credit on their board.

hey HoopTime, here's an idea. why don't you publish a small, say 8 to 10 pages, newspaper style version of HoopTime and put it out at the games. if you think it would garner a broader audience, maybe you could provide a little bit of PSU and some local D2 and D3 coverage as well. heck, you might not even need the website soon. people like me would be willing to pay outrageous amounts, perhaps even as much as the cost of postage to make sure we received every edition.
