Subject: ok, I m coming here also...3 questions

sorry if you read it on acme, but since it's not really working there I will post it here:
I was away for a week and few days and yesterday evening I went to see Vagabond. We got him 2 weeks ago from the shelter so he is still quite new. They told me he is more active now but that lately his droppings were very small. I saw some. Most of the big piles in the litter box looked fine, but the ones spread on the whole floor of the cage (the territory ones I guess, he is not neutred) were tiny tiny, but hard and normal color. That worried me, especially that Alex said he eats less then at the beggining. He also changed his coat during last week. When I was leaving for vacation he looked like a puffed ball, now he is a slender beautiful rabbit. So I thought maybe he ate too much fur and it blocked him or something? The problem is he doesn't really like hay. He eats some, but not much. (the hay is nice and fresh, it's the same that Fauve ate all the time).I brought him some dandelions from the garden and these he ate ALL (there were a lot) and very fast. We gave him more oats on his pellets and more hay for the night. I don't think he ate much of the hay during the night, but this morning all his droppings were almost normal size, much bigger then before. I also saw him eat his ce..forget how it's called, the droppings he is supposed to eat. He seems happy and active, hopping around the room. Should I be worried? What does it mean when his droppings get so small? Any tricks to make him eat more hay?
2)we were wondering how old he might be. He is adult, that's for sure, but we even thought that he might be eldery. He is very calm, moves a bit but for the most enjoys being pet. Alex's mom who had all her life rabbits on her farm says he looks old to her. Is there any way to guess how old is a bunny? Can the vet do it? How? We won't go to the vet for that for sure, he would probably charge us 100$ to tell us his age. Also, can you tell if he was neutred? I doubt it since owners that dump their rabbit in a park won't bother neutering him, and it's quite expensive in the area, but who knows. He doesn't spray and is quite good with the litter box (except for some droppings around his cage, but never outside).
3) my third question is that Alex told me that he makes sometimes noise when he moves, but it stopps when he stopps. It's like wispering. I heard it this morning and it's really strange. It's a bit like snoring, but it doesn't sound as if he has difficulty breathing like when you snore. It's more like he would be mambling to himself. And it stops when he stops very suddenly. He don't do it most of the time when he moves, just from time to time, Alex said maybe 2 times in a day. What can it be and should I worry? Can it be his stomach or bones or what?Anybody heard that before? I really feel like he is talking!
sorry this is so long! and thanks for reading all this:)
