Subject: Bilbo slides all over the floor of his cage

So I'm buying him new carpet mats for both levels.. (he ruined his only carpet for the 2nd floor)..

Oh his molt finally stopped! YAY!

But anyway, when I go to feed him, give hay and treats.. he gets out of his hay box now (I guess I've scarred him from using his safe box as my means of picking him up). Remember, that is almost always the only time I can get him.

Smart little thing I guess. He's a bugger but he's smart.

So anyway, when he's in the other corner of the room, I give him his treats only (I don't even bother trying to pick him up anymore, I'm trying to gain his trust back).. but he slides on floor a little like he has no gripping.

You think after I put back the carpet and he has traction again he'll try walkin towards me now in his cage rather than sliding his front paws forward, taking the treat and sliiiiiding back? And being a little less neglectant to come near me? I'm wondering if he knows that no traction means easy pick up for me.

I wonder if you guys can even picture what I mean.

Anyway, he's a booger.. but like I always say... he's just so darn cute.

I took him outside the other day when it was all sunny, but I had no leash so he could only walk in between my legs. He REALLY wanted to walk around. I can't wait to get him a lil leash so I can take him for walks!

My landlords will think I'm a nutcase when they see my walking a rabbit! Hhahh! I can't wait.
