The crowd goes to their feet and explodes as “Live for the Moment” plays the arrival of Matt Hardy Version 1! Hardy walks out from the back, holding the V1 sign above his head and pounds his chest on his way down, sliding into the ring and climbs the ropes, playing to the crowd.









I Do it for the Druuuuuuugs! I Do it Just to Feeeeeel Aliiiiiiive!







The crowd goes wild as the International Champion, Chris “The Future” Sabin walks out to “Bottom of a Bottle” by Smile Empty Soul, holding a fist above his head before making his way down to the ring. He climbs onto the ring apron and springs himself into the ring, turns his back to Hardy and holds the title belt above his head to a pop from the crowd!


Piper: “Mistake number one, NEVER turn your back on your opponent like that, especially a cagy veteran like Matt Hardy!”

JR: “The only difference about this is that together as Team Mattitude, Matt Hardy and Chris Sabin formed one of the greatest tag teams in UCW history. If Chris Sabin can turn his back on anybody, it’s Matt Hardy.”

Piper: “BULLSHIT!”


Just then, Hardy swings Sabin around and gets in his face, jawing at him.


Piper: “TOLD YOU SO, JR!”


Hardy and Sabin talk in each others faces for a few moments before backing away as the bell sounds. Sabin hands over the championship and the two begin to circle, slapping hands before locking up. Immediately, Sabin pulls Hardy into an arm-ringer, but Hardy counters so hard that Future does a full flip and lands on his back. Hardy drops down for a quick cover but Sabin kicks out. Right back on their feet, Sabin goes around him with a waist lock and slams him face first onto the canvas, flipping him over and covering for a count of his own. Hardy rolls free and to his feet, pulling Sabin up by the arm, but Chris leaps up with the pull and puts his feet on Hardy’s chest, taking him over with a monkey flip! However, Matt lands on his feet and pulls Sabin into a headlock takeover. Chris uses his legs and wraps them around Matt’s head, and he does a backwards roll free, pulling Sabin right up off the mat and walks in a circle, driving him into the mat with a Powerbomb and leans over him for a one, two, TWO as Sabin kicks out!

Hardy now pulls Sabin up, breaking away from the straight wrestling and drills him with a straight right hand, leaning him against the ropes. He fires him across but Sabin springs off the ropes, flying back with a reverse elbow that catches Hardy right on the chin! He now fires a few forearm shots to Matt’s head and leans him against the ropes, going for a dropkick on the return but Matt clutches onto the ropes and holds firm as Sabin hits the mat back first. Hardy now races in, leaping high with a leg drop and lands across his throat, covering for a two count!

Hardy now grabs a reverse headlock as Sabin sits up, wrenching down on his neck. Chris battles to his feet, drilling Hardy with a few fists to the gut before taking him over with a back suplex. V1 does a full flip and lands on his feet, but Sabin counters quickly with a reverse kick to the gut. With Hardy hunched over, Future comes off the ropes and does a back flip off his back, waits for Hardy to turn around and goes for another kick but Hardy catches it, spinning it around. Sabin spins, and then leaps high with an enzaguri to the head, flattening Hardy face first to the mat and covers for a two count!

Hardy crawls to the ropes, shaking his head out and pulls himself up, right into a fist to the mouth by Sabin. Matt fires a receipt back in the form of a right cross, followed by a second, and then a boot to the mid section. Matt then comes forward right into a Northern Lights Suplex by Sabin, holding him down for a two count! The crowd is split 50/50 in this one as Sabin pulls Matt up, but Hardy drops straight to his ass with a chin breaker! Sabin goes falling back into the ropes and Hardy fires him across. Chris ducks a haymaker and comes off the other side, but he runs right into an impactful power slam, DRIVING him into the mat! Hardy pulls up on the leg for the one, two, but only a two count as Sabin rolls free!

Hardy now pulls Sabin up and body slams him to the mat, backing into the corner and climbs to the middle ropes. He thinks twice about it and decides to go all or nothing, climbing up to the VERY top rope! The crowd begins to make some noise as he holds the double V1 sign above his head, but before he can fly off, Sabin rushes over, shaking the ropes! Chris now climbs the ropes himself, trying to position himself for a Future Shock from the top as the crowd gets into it, but Hardy battles his way free, forcing Sabin to climb onto the very top himself. The two now teeter on the top rope, trading right hands, but Hardy goes beneath one of the shots, hooks Sabin, “OOOOOOOH’S”, and then flies off the top rope with a Side Effect!! The crowd BREAKS out into a chant of “HARDY! HARDY! HARDY! HARDY!” as Sabin is driven into the mat! Hardy rolls around in pain himself, holding his back side from the fall as he crawls over and hooks the leg for the one, two, thre-- NO! Sabin kicks out!


JR: “MY GOD! MY GOD! MY GOD! THEY DAMN NEAR KILLED EACH OTHER WITH THAT ONE – BUT SABIN LIVES! SABIN LIVES! SABIN LIIIIIVES!”


Hardy pulls at his hair in disbelief as Sabin kicked out. He looks at the ref, questioning the count before pulling himself up. He then measures Sabin and boots him in the ribs before pulling him up by the hair and shoves him into a corner. He goes to fire him across but Sabin reverses and Matt hits the corner back first. Sabin now charges in, crashing into Hardy with a reverse elbow and backs out, waits for Hardy to stumble out after him, and hoists him onto his shoulders! Matt kicks his feet out, trying to float over, but Sabin spins him off, head first into his knee! The crowd pops as Sabin goes for the cover, but now it’s Hardy who kicks out at the last second!

Sabin doesn’t waste any time now, pulling Hardy up and kicks him in the gut. He now comes off the ropes behind him, but Hardy catches him with a wheel kick to the chin as he charges! Matt now pulls the champ up by the hair and hooks his head for the Twist of Fate, but Sabin lifts him right up off the mat, seating him on the top rope, crotch first. Sabin fires away with a few fists to the mouth, staggering him there and climbs up after him, springing off the side ropes and takes the challenger from the top with a Hurricanrana! Hardy is driven into the mat and Sabin crawls over, covering for the one, two, TWOOOOO as Hardy kicks out!


JR: “WHAT A MATCH! BY GOD WHAT A MATCH!”


Now it’s Sabin who pulls at his hair, livid and down right pissed off that he can’t keep Hardy down! He goes over and pulls V1 up into a belly-to-belly suplex. He holds on and pulls him into a vertical suplex, driving him into the mat. The champ holds on a third time, hooking and lifting Hardy for the Future Shock, but Matt has it scouted and floats over, kicks Sabin in the gut, hooks and JAMS him into the canvas with the Twist of Fate! Hardy now musters up all of the energy that he can and crawls over onto Sabin, laying an arm across him for the one, two, THREE!

No! Sabin has his foot across the bottom rope! Hardy rolls off of him, clutching his head and kicks his feet on the mat. He pulls himself up and grabs Sabin by the hair, pulling him to his feet and hooks him again! This time, as soon as Hardy spins, Future shoves him off into the ropes. On the return, Chris hoists him onto his shoulders, but Hardy floats over, shoving Chris into the ropes now. Matt charges in but Sabin backdrops him over the top rope, but Hardy lands feet first on the apron and sends a shoulder block through the ropes. He then goes to sunset flip over the champ, but Sabin catches him on his shoulders and tries to walk to the middle of the ring, but Hardy holds onto the top rope for dear life! They battle it out, and Sabin breaks Matt’s grip by stretching his leg out to kick his hand away, stumbles into the middle of the ring, and then JAMS him into the mat with the Cradle Shock sitout slam! The crowd then counts along with the one, two, THREE!


“Bottom of a Bottle” plays over the speakers as Chris Sabin successfully defends the International Championship in this match of former partners! He rolls off of Hardy and collects his championship, laying on his back, completely drained, and extremely emotional over the win!
