The new theme “Lie, Cheat & Steal” plays over the speakers as Eddie Guerrero comes walking out from under the big screen, pounding his chest as he makes his way down to the ring, nothing but smiles as he slides in, climbing a corner and shimmying his shoulders from side to side.







Who That Jumpin’ Out The Sky?

R-E-Y MYSTERIO! HERE WE GO!






The crowd then goes WILD as Rey Mysterio comes flying out into the air from his trap door, landing in a crouched position and leaps onto the ramp, spinning in a circle before making his way down to the ring! Once inside, he leaps onto the corner pads and crosses over his chest, doing a rolling motion with his arms as Guerrero stands back, clapping his hands together for his best friend, tag team partner, and tonight, opponent.


Mysterio descends and stands across from Eddie as the bell sounds, extending his hand for a shake, which Eddie does. They then back away from one another and begin to circle, moving in for a lock-up, but Rey goes under Eddie back backs away, bouncing on his toes. Eddie nods his head as they move in for another, but once again, Rey avoids it, ducking Eddie and continues to bounce from side to side. This time, Eddie keeps his back turned to Rey, shaking his head with a slight chuckle, also with a little bit of annoyance in his look.

They finally lock-up this time, and Eddie moves Rey back first into a corner and referee Chad Patton calls for a clean break. Eddie pulls away and holds his arms up, breaking cleanly, but a second later he dives him with a forearm shot, but Rey ducks low once again and avoids the cheap shot! Eddie looks back at Rey, who taps his head, telling Eddie that he knows his style. Eddie wipes his nose as they move in once more, and this time Rey goes behind Guerrero with a waist lock. Eddie attempts to break Rey’s grip, and then swings behind Mytserio himself with a waist lock, holding in tight. Rey attempts to squirm his way free, but when he realizes that he can’t, he stomps on Eddie’s toes!

As Eddie bounces on one leg, Rey comes off the ropes with a low dropkick to his knee, making Eddie face plant into the mat! As Eddie sits up on one knee, Rey dives in, rolling Guerrero up with an Oklahoma roll for a quick two count! Right back on their feet, Rey ducks a Guerrero lariat and comes off the ropes, coming at Eddie with a reverse dropkick, but Eddie catches him and goes to throw him over the top rope! However, Rey holds on and lands on the apron, pulling Eddie throat first across the top rope with a bulldog!

Guerrero goes flying across the ring, doing a backwards roll, grabbing at his throat! The crowd then cheers LOUDLY as Mysterio calls for the West Coast Pop, springing up to the top rope and flies off as soon as Eddie stands, but Eddie catches him with a sitout powerbomb, DRIVING him into the mat and hooks the leg for the one, two, TWO!

Surprised that Rey kicked out, Eddie argues with Patton before pulling Rey up by the mask, shoving him into a corner and laces a LOUD chop across his chest to boos from the fans! Eddie looks out to the crowd as they boo him, which seems to anger him, so he laces ANOTHER chop across Rey’s already beat red chest! Eddie then goes to fire Rey across, but Mysterio reverses it, but once he reaches the corner, Eddie slides right out of the ring from under the bottom rope and taps his head with a smirk. However, Rey comes tearing in after him, leaping right onto the top rope in the corner and comes off with a corkscrew, taking Eddie down to the floor!

The crowd begins to chant “U.C. DUB!” as both Mysterio and Guerrero attempt to pull themselves up, clearing their heads. Once they reach their feet, Eddie meets Rey with a knee to the mid section and whips him shoulder first into the ring steps! Latino Heat then rolls Rey back into the ring and climbs onto the apron, and then he uses the ropes to spring himself into the ring with a rolling senton, connecting dead on and goes for the cover, pulling back on Rey’s near leg for another close two count!

Eddie now shimmies his shoulders from side to side and pulls Rey up, taking him over with a snap suplex and pops his hips, taking him over with a second, but this time Rey floats over and lands on his feet, leaping forward and hooks Eddie’s arms with his legs, rolling him up for a two count! Eddie rolls free and right back up to his feet, charging at Mysterio who ducks him, and then Rey comes off the far side ropes, springing off of them with a moonsault that connects, and he covers for another two count!

Rey then meets Eddie with a few forearms shots, moving him back into the ropes, but Eddie reverses the whip and goes for a tilt-a-whirl slam as Rey returns, but Mysterio turns it into a swinging head scissors! Eddie goes rolling into a corner and pulls himself up, wobbly. Rey then charges in, leaping onto Eddie’s chest and attempts to take him over with a monkey flip, but Guerrero holds on and places Rey on the top rope, rocking him there with a right hand.

Eddie now climbs up after Mysterio, setting him up for a superplex, but as he attempts to take him over, Rey clutches onto the top rope, bracing himself. Rey now begins to fight back, hitting Eddie with right hands to the ribs. Eddie loses his footing, but quickly releases Rey’s head, grabbing onto the top rope and holds himself still on the middle ropes. Rey now uses the ropes to spring himself OVER Guerrero, taking him over with a flipping sitout powerbomb from the top rope, JAMMING Guerrero into the mat and uses his legs to hold Eddie’s shoulders down for the one, two, THREE!!


“6-1-9” blasts over the speakers as Rey Mysterio rolls out of the ring, celebrating his victory as he will now advance to the semi-finals of the tournament!

Eddie is left behind in the ring, sitting up, clutching the back of his head, wondering where it all went wrong.
