Welcome to the first Smackdown! right on the heels of the WrestleMania of WrestleMania’s, right here LIVE from the Pond on Brand Smackdown!

Who says that lightning can’t strike twice, because it will tonight when Triple H challenges Jesse Hart and the World Championship in a WrestleMania rematch!

The Undisputed Tag Team Championship will also be on the line as the now winningest champions in UCW history, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, will defend against the former champions, René Duprée and Sylvain Grenier! After the war they all went to in TLC 3, what will they have to offer right here tonight?

The Kurt Angle Invitational will continue tonight in a grudge match when he is challenged by Ron “The Truth” Killings!

Also in action tonight will be Carlito where he takes on Mr. Thursday Night, Rob… Van… Dam!

Another chapter in the saga that has become Edge’s life will be written when he goes one on one with hated foe, Chris Benoit!

And finally, BOTH the United States Champion and the number one contender will be in the house tonight, John Cena and Matt Hardy! What will the Doctor have to say about the biggest win of his career over Kurt Angle at WrestleMania, and what will the most anticipated interview in the business today, Matt Hardy Version 1 have to say on his FIRST Smackdown! as an official SD! superstar!
