“Here Comes the Money” blasts over the speakers, and the crowd pops as the owner of Brand Smackdown!, Shane McMahon bounces out onto the set! He makes his way down the red carpet, full of energy as he slides into the ring, waving a fist in the air to the crowd.









“You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar But I Feel Like A Millionaire” then fires over the speakers, signaling the arrival of the Smackdown! General Manager, Athene! She makes her way down to the ring with a look of determination over her face. As she heads to the ring, the announcers talk about how Shane McMahon hasn’t competed in a match in two years, whereas Athene’s last match was at SummerSlam last summer. Marissa gives the edge to Shane-O-Mac while Dreamer gives the edge to Athene. Jax remains neutral, claiming that he’ll support whoever the boss is by the end of the match.


They stare one another down in the middle of the ring as referee Brian Hebner gives them their final instructions and calls for the bell. They jaw at one another for a few moments before Athene SLAPS McMahon right across the face! Shane’s head flings to the side and he rubs his jaw, breaking out into a slight grin before taking Athene down to the mat with a double leg takedown and begins to fire away with both lefts and rights to a pop from the crowd!

Athene attempts to cover up and then rolls Shane onto his back, firing away with a barrage of shots of her own until Shane flips her back over, and the two go rolling right out of the ring and to the floor! Once they hit the floor, neither competitor gives an inch and they continue to trade shots. Shane stops the flow with a knee to Athene’s mid section and begins to dance like a butterfly and sting like a bee, drilling her with a fist to the jaw. As Athene staggers by the barricade, Shane charges in with a lariat, but the GM ducks and backdrops him onto the fans in the second row!

Security hops the barricade and moves everyone out of the way as Shane pulls himself up. Meanwhile, Athene has climbed onto the barricade and she flies off with a clothesline, taking the owner back down again. She then takes a moment to pull her hair back and threaten a few fans before grabbing Shane by the hair. However, Shane fights back with a low blow to “oooooh’s” from the fans! Athene sells the shot and stumbles backwards, turning her back to Shane. He pulls himself up and stalks towards her now, but Athene turns on a dime and BLASTS him with a steel chair shot across the head!

Shane goes flipping over the barricade and back to ringside as Athene drops the chair with a shrug of the shoulders, making light of the low blow. She heads back over to ringside herself and stalks in after Shane, disregarding the official who threatens a DQ and threatens his job instead. She then pulls Shane up and rolls him back into the ring. She follows him in and leans him against the ropes, drilling him with a forearm to the mouth before firing him across, but Shane comes roaring back off the ropes with a flying clothesline that pops the crowd!

Athene hits the mat and Shane hypes himself up, grabbing her by the hair and slams her head first into the corner pads as the fans count along. Once they reach three, he begins to slam her head into the second corner, and then the lowest corner, and then works her right back up to the top corner and ends at 15! Athene staggers backwards, knocked loopy as Shane climbs to the second ropes and flies off with a clothesline, taking her down and covers for the one, two, and only a two count as the GM rolls her shoulder free.

Athene stumbles to her feet and to the ropes where she meets Shane with a knee to the gut as he follows. She then shoves him into a corner and traps him there, going low with a shoulder block to the mid section, followed up by a straight forearm shot to the mouth. She goes to fire him across, but Shane reverses the Irish whip and Athene goes charging into the corner. However, she stops herself by placing her foot on the middle ropes and connects with a back elbow to the mouth as Shane followed. This rocks him back, and Athene capitalizes with a running bulldog from behind, jamming him into the mat and covers for a two count!

Athene quickly grips Shane by the hair and hammers down onto him, trying to open up that cut she started with the chair. Shane fights his way free, stumbling away from her and rubbing his forehead, checking for blood. Athene is like a shark now and she lunges at him, jumping on his back and forcing him chest first into the corner, digging her finger nails into his forehead! McMahon SCREAMS out in pain as she literally tears him open! Out of desperation, he takes two fists full of her hair and flips her over his back, over the ropes, out of the ring and to the floor to a pop from the crowd!

Shane stumbles back and wipes blood from his forehead with his sleeve as Athene rubs her lower back in pain after landing straight on her tailbone, barely clearing the ring steps as she landed. Shane heads to the outside on the other side of the ring and begins to stalk Athene, taking a running start and leaps onto the barricade, runs across it and drills her with a flying clothesline out of nowhere! Athene is knocked loopy as Shane pulls her up, sliding her onto the Spanish announce table! Tito Santana and company are SCREAMING at Shane to move one table over, but Shane simply climbs onto the apron and up the ropes, measuring Athene! The Spanish announce team quickly bails, knowing what’s to come as Shane-O-Mac comes flying off with a HUGE elbow drop, going through the table alone as Athene rolls out of the way!

The crowd begins to chant “SHANE-O-MAC!” as he lies in the rubble and mess of the broken table, bent out of shape! Athene makes her way over and looks down on him, taking a cord that’s lying around and wraps it around his throat, beginning to choke him out! She drags him from the rubble and to the ring, tossing him inside. Shane rolls near a corner and remains on his back as Athene climbs to the top rope, measuring him before coming off with the 450 splash, straight across his knees! The crowd gets into this now as both are having one hell of a time to reach their feet.

Shane begins to rub the blood out of his eyes as he pulls himself up, grabbing Athene by the hair and starts to turn her around for a stalling neck breaker, but Athene rotates and grabs him by the back of the head in a choke hold, trying to drop to her back and choke him out! Shane fights it, leaning forward and leg sweeps her over, waiting for her to stand and drills her with a fist. He then hoists her onto his shoulders in a Samoan drop position, but Athene floats over and drops to her knees, DRILLING him with a low blow! As Shane staggers, she hooks his head and JAMS him into the mat with a DDT, covering for the one, two, TWO count!

Shane kicks out at the last second, and Athene is livid! She argues with the official before grabbing him by the legs, stepping through for the Sharpshooter, but Shane rolls her up in a small package for a close two count! Both go right back to their feet and Athene ducks a lariat, hooks and goes to jam him into the mat with a Full Nelson slam, but Shane pulls her into forward roll and into another small package for yet another close fall! Athene rebounds straight to her feet and boots Shane in the ribs, now going for the Cradle Piledriver!

Shane fights it repeatedly and manages to backdrop Athene. She hits the mat and rebounds up to her feet, ducking Shane as he charges and backdrops him this time, but Shane lands feet first on the apron. He quickly throws a shoulder block through the middle ropes that staggers her, and then uses the ropes to spring over with a sunset flip attempt, but Athene leans forward and pulls up on his legs as the ref begins to count the one, two, she hooks the ropes for some added leverage, THREE!


“Millionaire” blasts back over the speakers as Athene has won full control of Smackdown! She quickly rolls to the outside with her arm raised in victory as Shane looks back at her in complete shock, having no clue why he couldn’t kick out.


Athene grins as she walks backwards up the ramp, part of the crowd surprisingly behind her as she laughs at Shane. Shane-O-Mac is left behind in the ring, holding his ribs and staring coldly up the red carpet at Smackdown!’s General Manager who now has FULL control of his show!
