“Evolve” plays on the speakers as Nick Dinsmore, King of the Ring runner up arrives from behind the curtain. Nick adjusts his ever present towel and throws it to the ring crew person on the outside. Dinsmore backs against the ropes, checking their pull and torque and circles around it. He’s answered by…












WHO THAT JUMPIN’ OUT THE SKY?

R-E-Y MYSTERIO! HERE WE GO!






And Rey Mysterio’s theme explodes onto the speakers, sending the latter out through the stage for a King of the Ring rematch here on Smackdown!


Mysterio gets a running start and slides through the ropes going right at Dinsmore for the start of this match. Rey’s furious attack knocks Nick off balance a bit, as he rushes into him with a flying leg lariat. Mysterio floors Dinsmore and when he bounces back to his feet, hits him with a spinning back elbow! Nick tries to scramble to his feet but he’s taken down by a Mysterio go behind and a rollup. Rey goes to push him on his shoulders, but Dinsmore keeps moving through and gets a waistlock on Rey. Nick then gets to his feet and uses his strength advantage to power Rey up and over with a textbook German Suplex. Nick keeps his hands locked and yanks him upwards, letting go and clotheslining him in the back of the head.


Rey hits the mat hard from this one, and Nick goes back for a few seconds, clearing his head from the quick assault. Dinsmore speaks with the ref for a moment and then goes back on the attack, sizing him up and draps a kneedrop across the back of his head. Dinsmore backs up after this one and waits until Rey’s halfway up, nailing a second kneedrop. When Mysterio gets up again, Dinsmore goes down, dropping down into a crossface styled hold and pulling Rey’s head to the side. Mysterio sits up after a minute, but Nick rolls his weight over and forces him back to the mat. Rey gets up and reaches for the ropes after a moment, as Dinsmore adjusts to weigh on him again, Mysterio changes directions and moves him back on his shoulders for a 1….2and a kickout from Nick. Rey gets to his feet as Nick comes in with a kick to the chest and sets him for a NickNack. Mysterio goes up and adjusts in midair, coming down behind Dinsmore with a falling backbreaker, jamming his knees into the small of his back. Nick howls with pain and falls forward, landing on the ropes face first. Rey backs up and looks over, seeing where Dinsmore landed. He looks to the crowd, and yells along with them


6…..1….9!!!




Mysterio takes off with a head full of steam and comes racing towards him, grabbing the top rope and spinning around with a 619 that nails Dinsmore plush in the mouth! Nick falls back into the ring as Rey winces, holding the back of his head and moves to the outside. He takes a breath and springs himself in over the top rope, latching onto his shoulders and going to take him over with a West Coast Pop, but Nick uses the momentum with a rolling spinebuster, driving Rey smack dab into the canvas and falling to the side himself.

Dinsmore moves over and lifts him up this time, slapping at his face. He pulls Rey up by the trunks and slams his head between his legs, setting him up for a piledriver. As soon as he spins him up in the air, Rey does a situp and starts to drive his fists into the top of his head repeatedly. Dinsmore loses his balance and Rey comes crashing down on his chest, yanking back on his legs and getting a quick 1…2…and 3 count over him!


When Dinsmore fires out of it in shock, Rey rolls out of the ring, celebrating with the ref his win and a measure of revenge on Smackdown!!
