. he sighs , noticing her tense as she speaks of her family . reaching forward , he wraps a comforting arm around her shoulders , pulling her towards him in a soft hug as he speaks .

. sharon and I . . we . . we have a tense relationship . . she's my sister , i love her . . but there's always been a shadow hanging over us . . we've learned how to get along . . but ever since . . oh nevermind . shouldnt've brought it up .

. he sighs again , retreating from the hug and taking a long draw of his drink . he shouldn't have brought it up , not in amber's company . he knew that talking about his past with sharon always made him tense , unpleasant . he didn't want to ruin amber's evening .
