Subject: A story about Mr. Newman

Does anyone remember when you would turn up late to one of Mr Newmans lessons and he would mark a big 'L' in his registration book. Also failure to hand in homework would warrant a big 'H' in the same book. I had heard some rumours once that if you asked Mr Newman to go to the toilet he would place, yes you guessed it, a big 'T' in the book. I however did not believe these rumours and treated them as an exaggeration of Newmans exccentric teaching styles. This however was the case until my parents returned from parents evening. Apparently Newmans openning words were:

"He has been late on 5 occasions, not handed his homework in on 6 occasions and asked to go to the toilet on 3 occasions"

He then went on to babble about a detention I missed the same night of that parents evening and did not mention how my science was going once. Classic Newman. (scotschs cairhnyey in normal english is scott cairney)
