And this reminded me of Jesus teaching
us in Matthew 24 the following --

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave
me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick,
and ye visited me: I was in prison,
and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall
the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when
saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty,
and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a
stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed
thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison,
and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer
and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on
the left hand, Depart
from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared

Also of the time when Paul was first Saul and Jesus said to him -- Acts 22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? This was spoken after Saul was persecuting those who were Christian - going into their homes beating and jailing them .

Our relationship is that close --that Christ said to Saul --
Why thou persecutest thou me ?

Indeed what we have done to another we have done against God and this all brings to mind the importance of the commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself -Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

I must admit to falling short in this area. I find it difficult at times to love my neighbor out of a pure heart .

May God continue to be merciful unto me .May He keep me on His Potter's wheel shaping me into something that will finally truly honor this commandment in a way that He intended and is pleasing to Him .

is very true. As in the case of Ruth you certainly have the exception just as you do with some Muslims today. Exceptions prove the rule or it wouldn't be an exception. Every Pharisee had the opportunity to turn to Jesus just as Saul of Tarsus. I am reminded also that Orpah, Ruth's sister-in-law had the same opportunity as Ruth. She chose to go back to her people and their gods.

We are all sinners and just being born after the Adam nature makes us unclean and unfit for fellowship with God. It is why we must be born again into spiritual beings after the heavenly and not after the earthly.

My aim was to point out that sin has unseen and unintended consequences that may have it's effect through many many generations.

I am glad and thankful of the fact that God can take a sinner such as I and clean me up. Not that I am sinless not that I am worthy of anything. The hymn says "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind by now I see.

What I see is someone unlovable being loved.
Someone dirty being made clean.
Someone without the capacity for true love to be made able to love.

The ground is level at the foot of the cross and no one who comes with a broken heart and contrite spirit is turned away.
