We had fireworks in Worcester on the 3rd and in Boston on the 4th. The big show in Boston suffered from a terrific thunder and lightning storm. They managed to get it in and it was spectacular as usual. We don't go to Boston. We watched it on the TV news. Since then we have had almost no rain. They are taking about a droubt here.

We had about ten minutes of rain on Saturday night and vast storms passed south of us on Sunday, but no rain for us. Fireworks in all the small communities around us were cancelled and our town banned home fireworks. The temps have been breaking records--it was 107 on the 4th. The temps finally dropped to the 90's after the storms passed through, but the humidity is back. Yuck!

Try to stay cool, everyone!

I know the midwest has been terribly hot recently. The weather forcast for today is temps falling back into the 90s. Still not much relief for you. Our temps now are in the low to mid 80s. The humidity is supposed to drop today. I'm sure glad that this building is air conditioned. It would be unbearable if it wasn't.

But one good thing about it--no grass cutting. It's mostly brown stubble. And you don't feel guilty because everyone else's lawns look as shabby.
Have to run out to water aerobics, but will read the new study when I return. Nice to see everybody here, today. Sure wish Connie would peek in more. 8-(

Wisconsin is in drought condition. No rain in the extended forecast either.
