Sorry I missed it yesterday. My daughter had her baby!!! She was 6 weeks early and things were in chaos around here. Mama and baby are doing fine. Ada weighed in at 4 lb 11 oz and has all her fingers, toes and the prettiest little face you ever saw!
I will cut and paste this over at Bill's site, too, just in case Caren doesn't come by here.
xoxo

You will never be the same.

My son was 4 lbs. and 1 oz and 6 wks early. Dropped back to 3-10 before gaining weight. He is now 6' 4" and a chunk.

We don't want her to tower over her mama. *-)
Baby and Mommy are doing well. Mom will be a little sore for awhile with having had the C-section, but she's recovering well. They won't be able to take baby home for about a month, I guess. That will be so hard on them. Your continued prayers would be very much appreciated, Dwight. Thanks!!!

Why so? Are there other factors other than low weight. I know when my son was born he was to be 5 lbs before leaving the hospital but they let him go earlier because they saw we could take care of him without their help and he didn't need help breathing or anything.

That is what they said the first day, but she's already taking a bottle and is soiling her diapers, so I think we can say she is moving right along. They may feel they need to monitor her because they had to take her early because she was crushing the umbilical cord and they didn't want to risk mama going into labor and totally cutting off the blood supply. Just between you and me, I think it'll be much sooner. 8-) I'll send you a picture Daddy took tonight.
