Well mom's improving and Dale hasn't as yet. We still are looking to go next Friday for an upper and lower G.I.

Mom took 15 steps Friday while holding on to parallel bars. She says she is going for 20 Monday. Yea Mom. She has gained a little more movement in her left leg and arm so there are definite signs the area in her brain affected by the stroke is waking up.

Dale is still running fever and can only function with her Tylenol for fever and pain medication. We upped her Prednisone from 10 mg. to 20 mg. on our own. The doc. said no so we did it anyway. We saw improvement that day but Dale doesn't want to clear up any infection before her G.I. so the doctor can see what is going on.

We know she can't stay on high dosages of Prednisone because of side effects but she needed some relief and it gave it to her.

I will keep you poated as we see any thing different.

God bless all,
Dwight

Hoping that the tests this Friday will give the doctors much needed information to figure out what's going on with her.

Could I ask for your prayers for Charlie? His dog Luke--such a sweet boy--passed away after a week of feeling low and Charlie is beside himself with grief. I've been trying to talk him through it and trying to get him to stop blaming himself. We still don't know how it happened so fast, or what really was the cause of his death. He was 12 years old, but in pretty good health, so it's a mystery. Thanks in advance for your healing prayers for Charlie.

and their loss brings much grief. I do pray that the Lord will bring comfort and peace over this to Charlie.

Is it possible that Luke got into some poison? Anti-freeze maybe?

No, he didn't... but in talking with each other about the past few weeks, we see that the signs were there--we just weren't picking up on them. It is just so awful to have it hit so fast. We thought we'd have a couple of senior years with our sweet boy. Thanks for your good thoughts, dear friend. Let us know how Friday goes for Dale, will you?
