In reply to: Hillbilly 's message, "Gen 50 vss 1-14 Post 224" on 20:35:06 11/14/12 Wed

I have read Genesis several times, but never with the understanding you brought to it. I was always like Connie stated--just get through this one and on to easier to understand, less tedious books. I think Connie missed out on a lot of good learning in this one, but am hoping when you start the next study, she'll come back. She'll need to be with us praying as we see the next four years bring socialism to this country.... and to watch good people sign onto feeding at the govt teat to make sure they get their share-- many who used to think that was the worst thing imaginable. Very sad.

We still have 8 more verses (grin or groan?)

I don't think I will attempt any more books. At least not for now. Rather I think it would be better to go back to the "nuggets" type format and just glean here and there. That way each can nibble or feast as they desire.

When doing books there are just too many places to lose interest before hitting more interesting subjects.

I loved the first hundred Nuggets, HB, so will look forward to reading more of them. And, in case you were serious about people losing interest, please know that I never did. I just didn't post back about each study right away. So you do the studies however God moves you to do them, and I'll read them. 8-)))
Thank you!!!
PS How are you liking retirement? Are you twiddling your thumbs or have you been busy getting caught up with honeydo's? Hee hee....

but certainly not caught up.

We've made two trips to Vanderbilt.

I have had a place taken off my ear and waiting on a biopsy to find out if a little more cutting has to be done.

Dale has been diagnosed with the possibility of "Sweet's Syndrome" which carries all the symptoms of the prolonged fever and hurting throughout her body. They have taken some blood and are trying to nail it down conclusively.

Started in to leveling the back porch. It has settled a little over the last 33 years we have been here and then I am going to start remodeling the utility room.

Received Dale's stair lift Friday and will be installing it this week.

After that I am installing a walk in shower so she doesn't have to climb over the tub. I have to cut and remove the old bath and shower unit. "Not Fun">

In addition I have been working on her mother's house. We are selling it by the end of the month.

This is the current projects and after that I will start expanding pasture so retirement is busy. That is the way I like it.
