We may take heart in that God has revealed to us in the Old Testament things that will take place in the New Testament. "Types and shadows" are one of the most important tools God has given us to understand the truth of scripture. When God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac and told him the exact place to do it who could have known then the picture of and the place of the crucifixion nearly 2,000 years into the future. Who would have known when God destroyed Sodom and the cities of the plain that it was a picture of coming judgment on the entire world. When God clothed Adam and Eve in the skins of an animal, which almost certainly was a lamb, that He was showing the sacrifice for the covering of sins.

Yes the Word of God is so very deep and the foreshadowings prove beyond doubt that God wrote the Bible for only He could hide prophecy in His scriptures in such a way as to show that He knew the end from the beginning.

Why did God make it so difficult for mankind to see His plan? Why didn't He speak plainer and make it easier for us to understand? I think He did it for the reason that He wanted us to have a true understanding of His plan through reading the Word and following Christ. If we are given things, we don't appreciate them nearly as much as those things we have to work for. What say you to those critics, Hillbilly?

I really don't think the problem is understanding what they read. They just don't want to believe what they read. The more they know of God's Word they know the more that is required of them. This is the rub. They become more accountable to God.

Luke 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Dale had to go check on her mother who is sick and bedfast. Dale's sister is staying with her 4 days a week and Dale 3. Dale carried some of her nausea medicine over and it seems to have done the trick. Ya'll have a blessed day.
