"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: "

There's something majestic about that verse and it affects me the same way Psalm 91 does every time I read it (that's my favorite BTW and I have a picture of it with a huge white dove framed and hanging on the wall behind my computer.)

It places the wonderful thoughts in our minds as to the peace and protection that God offers to those who will dwell with Him.

Psalm 91:1-4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

It is such a loss that Israel refused the shelter of God's wings time and again when that shelter was offered.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
