There ARE both times and ways when source can be witheld or ignored.

If you had said "author unknown" all may have been fine.

I myself often give no 'real' credit but I get away with it because I say stupid stuff like "As someone once penned:" and then it be clear to the 'smart' people that they can Google it if'n they care.

A few use "source" as a weapon...if you had just been asked "who" all would have been goodly. I happen to like that guy (yes, I be sick :-)

Tis cute that some people think a 'copyright' means anything without constant enforcement...even with proper credit given that foundation thingie just has to ask and you best remove...patent infringement works about the same...ENFORCEMENT, and that takes $
