I see I have a lot of catching up to do. Went to Santee (just outside San Diego) to spend Christmas with my son and daughter-in-law. Oh my! What a wonderful Christmas. My daughter, son-in-law and I took the train from Lompoc to Salano Beach where my son picked us up. Had a fabulous Christmas Day. Monday we went into San Diego and spent about five hours riding the different trolleys all over San Diego. Even went as far as Tijuana and saw the border between Mexico and the U.S. Had a big Mexican flag on the border. Our train back to Lompoc didn't leave until noon Tuesday so we went to The Creation Museum (which was one thing I really wanted to see but was afraid it wouldn't be open but it was...hurrah). What a fascinating place which integrated the Bible and Science and certainly puts the lie to the atheists and scoffers. Here's the best link I could find that you can explore and get an idea of what it's like.

Then we caught our train back to Lompoc and it was getting dark as we came up the coast and we got to see the beautiful sunsets on the ocean. BTW it's about a seven-hour ride on the train but let me tell you that's the only way to travel long distances instead of fighting the traffic. I highly recommend it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sounds like you had a grand time, honey. What a neat trip! And the museum sounds interesting. You should tell Jack to pay a visit to it, huh? 8-)

Jack doesn't live in San Diego any more. Moved to Reno, Nevada.

Surely Jack didn't move just to be near to Harry Reid.

Aw couldn't help myself. (chuckle)

Happy New Year and glad to hear you had a good Christmas.
