I checked with Robin, computer fixer extraordinaire and she said there wasn't anything to be done because ME is just too old. Said XP is about to die off so they can be picked up pretty cheap; however, if he's going to invest in a new one he should go for the latest model with Windows 7. I have a E machine too and haven't had any problems but it has Vista which I don't care for too much but can live with.

The Bible program is Logos 1.6 and is the best program I have ever seen. My son bought it for me back in 1994 or 95. Since the early program Logos Research did like so many others with their programs. They improved it until it becomes nearly useless. I have been unwilling to change to a newer Bible program as they do not have the features of this old Logos program. I have been playing with Logos on a laptop I recently purchased that has XP on it. By disabling it's interaction with 32-bit programs I have been able to get it to run on XP. I am presently looking for an XP machine that I can get with the orginal CD. If I can find one I will get it and extend the life of my Logos program. My primary work on a computer is Bible study and writing. I just don't want to handicap myself with a lesser program. I guess you could say I have a love affair going with my computer Bible. Guilty! If I can ever find a Bible program with the features of Logos that runs on these newer systems I will gladly get it. I would not hesitate to pay $200 or more for a comparable program. Again. Thanks all you good folks. I love everyone of you.

Let us help buy at least a program like "Ghost" (Vince uses a better one) and you shall lose nothing. Or we could just help with a new puter and Vince can walk us through the transfer, or maybe we go a few hundred more bucks and you transfer your old drive and make it a secondary...
