I'm not sure and I don't know when the Jewish calendar was changed so that the new year would start in the fall of the year.

Exodus 12:2 plainly states that God set the beginning of months in the spring of the year (month of Abib Ex.23:15) concurrent with the passover.

I must assume that through the years and forsaking God's declaration Israel must have changed their calendar.

The time of the fall festival (feast of tabernacles) will be the time of the advent so I am not sure of the significance.
