We are in Daniel in our Wed. night prayer meeting and teaching sessions. Our Pastor is doing the teaching and in Daniel chapter 11 in verse 37 there is a prophecy concerning the anti-Christ which says: "Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all." The underlined portion was the one of the main focal points and our Pastor made the statement that this portion of scripture led him to believe the anti-Christ would be a homosexual. I have taught the same thing and it may be the case but recently news focus on the plight of Muslim women has caused me to see it in a slightly different light. Muslims don't care what their women and wives desire. To them they are chattel and property. Strict obedience to Sharia law and the law of the husband is the only way. He could also be a homosexual but I now see other possibilities. I would have to argue on the reason for the elimination of Rome that is given above. The prophecies in Daniel never state that Rome conquered Babylon. Media/Persia was prophesied to conquer Babylon which happened. Greece or Macedonia under Alexander the Great conquered Persia and then Rome defeated and assimilated much of the splintered Greek empire after the death of Alexander the Great and the subsequent division of the empire among his 4 main Generals.
