I received a set of Chuck Missler's DVDs on the Book of Daniel for Christmas. Haven't watched any of them yet but I am looking forward to it. Got enough video watching and reading to catch up on to keep me busy for the next six months....grin!

Be interesting to see his take on Daniel. Whether he follows the norm or breaks some new ground.

Hope you enjoy them. Sure are a lot of people interested in the end time prophecies.

I guess Zero is spurring a lot of it. (grin)

Is there anything in particular you'd like me to look for? Chuck Missler is very good and I read that his IQ is in the stratosphere.

does he see th U.S. in any of these prophecies and why.

I also am interested if he, like so many others, identifies the lion with wings as Babylon.

I'll certainly try to see what he says on those two subjects. I haven't watched them yet but plan to do so next Sunday. Too much other stuff to catch up on...grin...and I like to be able to sit back and relax and digest them. I've never heard about the lion with wings being Babylon. Wanna let me know what that theory says?

The reasoning behind the first beast (lion with eagles wings) is that Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold in chapter two. He wound up as a beast with a beasts heart until 7 times passed over him. He then came to his senses and got heart as a man back and praised God.

In chapter 7 which we are currently studying the scripture says in verse 4; "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it."

Oliver Greene is one who makes the first beast Babylon. John Walvoord is another. W.A.Criswell is anothre who makes the vision of chapter 7 the same as the vision in chapter 2.

The reason it won't work as I stated is that Daniel had the vision in the first year of Belshazzar the last king of Babylon. In verse 17 of chapter 7 the angel clearly states to Daniel the 4 beasts are 4 kings which shall arise out of the earth thus excluding Babylon.

I had never heard that. I have heard the lion was referring to England and the eagle was, of course, the United States.

Let me state emphatically that all this is only a possible scenario. No one knows for sure. I base the possibility on Media/Persia being the first beast after Babylon. For fulfillment in the present day I look for a scenario similar to that of Media/Persia. The only fit I can see is the British Empire and the U.S.A. We have often moved with one purpose together as one even though separate Nations. Media/Persia were separate but moved as one.

This is the reason for my speculation and it is only speculation.
