Subject: Simply Southern National In Jackson

Have any of you heard about the national in Jackson ? It's only $150 to enter and Grand gets a $5000 bond ,is anyone going ?? The deadline is June 20 .

Get a grip you stupid dip!
Most all State and National Pageants judge 0-3 on Personality and 4-up on modeling, but how many times have you seen girls win in the 0-3 who modeled. (MANY,MANY,MANY)
Even though they were being judged on personality the one who modeled the best won! So don't tell me the girls who model won't have a great chance to win. It takes more than just modeling to win and the real pageant kids have that advantage. I believe this is just a way for the Director to pull some newcomers. The real pageant kids always stand out because they are well put together kids.If all you can win a pageant on is modeling maybe you need to find a new hobby. Modeling is always impressive to the judges no matter what age the contestants are and what the paperwork states. The paperwork doesn't say they will be counted off if they model and what judge would say I couldn't give it to her because she modeled even though she had high scores in beauty and overall appearance. Once again get a grip !!!!!!!!!!

For children that are beautifull and have the overall appearance but can also model should have some pull some kids work there butt's off to get there modeling just right... and for what??? For a new kid to come in and take it is irritating ... It should be like anything else you should have to practice and get your perfomance up to par before you compete, In any other sport such as basketball football anything you have to practice to perfect your self....Thats what our girls do, they take pride in it and after being tought thats what they need to win and they get it perfect and some kid comes in a takes it by acting silly it has to hurt them also.. We all know the rules and everyone should have to go by them! We have to pay for our children to be coached why should someone get off easy by not doing it, and just getting lucky? If we have to go back to the basics and if like you say it should only be on the beauty then put them all in the same thing and have them stand side by side and have a couple people pick out of the group no hair no make up no fake tans no fake hair just them yes that would be great because lord we all know we have some pretty girls but that is not a pageant.. Miss America could not win by skipping across the stage they take the time to get there walks right get there talent right because they are trying to show that they have grace and creativity along with there beauty..... We need to let our girls know it's not just about having a pretty face it's about how dedicated and commited you are to something how much pride you take in yourself and your work. Take a little time with your child like the rest of us help them realize that they have to have something more than an outstanding face that they also need some depth wether you agree with me or not i can say my child takes a lot of pride in her crowns because she actually had to work her butt off for them.And there is nothing better in the world than when my daughter gets off the stage and knows she nailed her routine nothing beats the face of a child when they know something they have practiced for so long just turned out awesome

I hate to tell all of you, you may need to be worried about who's coming with the Louisiana hair dressers because all the kids you are talking about can't even begin to compete with some of those Lousiana kids!!!

Competition everywhere is different. But, competition is something that you run across. When it comes, learn from it and use it to prepare for another day. Everyone has competition out there no matter what state you are from. Winning doesn't teach you anything if you've never experienced losing. So what if other people come to MS to compete. They might have something we can draw upon to help prepare us for another day.
