Subject: New Stadium in Santa Clara on its way

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/08/03/49ers-unveil-new-model-for-santa-clara-stadium/
The long standing proposal for a new 49er's stadium in Santa Clara picked up steam at the end of this NFL lockout and is looking like it will, in fact, be built. Of course, a 68,500 seat stadium is a bit ambitious for a school like Santa Clara, but it would not be necessary to open the whole of the stadium's seating for Bronco games. Off the top of my head, I know that Miami University plays their games in Sun Life Stadium, and even the mighty Hurricanes, often a legit national title contender, cannot fill the massive 70,000 seat arena. I believe that the Washington Huskies will be playing their games at Qwest Field while Husky Stadium is renovated. So there is at least a small precedent for college teams playing in pro stadiums. Would Buck Shaw be an adequate place for a D1-AA team, or do you think that playing in the new Niners stadium is something that could generate a positive buzz for a fledgling team? Either way, this new building will make it seem even sillier that SCU lacks a team, with a world class facility so near to the campus.
